Sri Aurobindo
Sri Aurobindo (1872–1950) was an Indian philosopher, poet, and spiritual leader who is best known for his teachings on spirituality, integral yoga, and the evolution of consciousness. He was a key figure in India's struggle for independence and initially a political activist before shifting his focus to spiritual development and personal transformation.
Aurobindo developed the concept of Integral Yoga, which emphasizes the integration of spiritual growth with everyday life. He believed that the purpose of life was to achieve a higher state of consciousness and to embody divine qualities in the world. His vision included both personal and collective transformation, aiming to bring a more enlightened and harmonious way of living to humanity.
He also wrote extensively, with works like The Life Divine and The Synthesis of Yoga being central to his spiritual philosophy. Aurobindo's teachings have had a significant influence on modern spiritual thought, especially in India, and he continues to inspire those seeking deeper spiritual insight and transformation.
